The Unstoppable Venus Farmer!
This year there was never really any doubt as to who’d be receiving the title of Volunteer of the Year: Venus is one of the loveliest, kindest, most hard working people we’ve ever met and I’ve truly been moved by how many of the team have come forward to tell me that we made the right decision by giving her this award.

Venus is an absolutely unique person who’s fiercely loyal to Team All Stars and puts everything she’s got into each of her costumes, often altering and embellishing them to turn something ordinary into something spectacular.
She’s been helping us spread the word about autism acceptance for several years now; working hard behind the scenes while enchanting both children and adults with her variety of characters at our events: anything from a Ghostbuster to a Jurassic Park Ranger, Morticia Addams to Princess Peach, and Snow White to Rapunzel.

Finally, I’d like to say a huge thank you to Venus from everyone at Autism All Stars – you truly deserve the title of Volunteer of the Year 2023 and we’re very much looking forward to working (and laughing) with you in 2024, and for many years to come.
